Amir Mian

As a Quality Assurance Legal Bill Review Analyst for Wolters Kluwer, Amir conducted a managerial review of audited legal bills review. Amir made additional adjustments to previously-adjusted invoice line item entries, if needed, and documented the justification for such adjustments. As part of the Appeals Team, Amir engaged in written and verbal communications with the law firm vendors of our customers regarding the adjustments. Ultimately, Amir's goal was to arrive at a reasonable, mutually-agreeable resolution on disputed adjustments, subject to our customers’ ultimate directive(s). Amir helped to save insurance company clients over $1 million dollars in legal spend by finding billing errors on law firm's invoices.

Prior to working in the legal bill review industry, Amir worked as a litigator concentrating in personal injury, real estate, insurance, and commercial law. In his first few months of being a lawyer, Amir assisted in a client receiving a $100,000 car accident settlement, oversaw successful defense of married couples lawsuits for nuisance, defamation, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Amir also drafted several successful documentations, including objection to motion to strike the defendant’s special defenses and counterclaim, objection to strict foreclosure, and motion to dismiss the plaintiff’s summary process action against the defendant’s house of worship.
